XVI. To Fight With Spoons Is Very Dumb

XVI.

To fight with spoons is very dumb,
But stupider, I know
To charge with ladles,
No cavalry of foes.

Who win, it’s hard to tell,
Who fall, harder still,
Whose idea was this anyway
To battle on this hill.

Never mind. Give them slotted spoons
And baby ones and then,
Rank after rank, with even feet,
Let them try to fend.

The original: “To fight aloud is very brave. Some interpretation.
